Saturday, March 24th and Sunday, March 25th is the last weekend for Canyon Ski Resort and its Bring Back the 80′s Weekend!! Come Celebrate the end of the season with our 2ND ANNUAL SLUSH CUP and CARDBOARD BOAT RACE!! This marks the end of the 2011/2012 season. Watch as 50 competitors try their luck and skimming across the ice cold 100 foot pool for a chance to win a 2012-2013 season pass. The Cardboard Boat Race involves you building your own one man or multi-team cardboard boat to slide down and over the pool. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes are awarded for both events and all competitors are judged by costume, style and overall performance. Remember to wear your best 80′s apparel as there will be prizes to the best dressed!!

Slush Cup Rules

* Must be on skis or snowboard.

* Costumes are encouraged but remember this is a family friendly event.

* Waivers must be signed before you can participate. (under 18, parent or legal guardian must sign)

* Lift ticket required.

Cardboard Boat Race Information & Rules

*The ENTIRE boat must be built from cardboard & duct tape. Duct tape may be used to reinforce seams.

* Pre-treated cardboard such as waxed cardboard is allowed.

* Paints and varnish are intended to be used as decorative elements only-not waterproofing.

* Fastening material is to be duct tape only.

* Decorations are allowed and encouraged provided they are not used as structural or floatation elements.

* Crew costumes are encouraged.

* NO wood, plastic, rubber, inflatable devices, Styrofoam, fibreglass or plastic.

* NO caulking compounds, two-part/mixed adhesives, glues or epoxy mixtures or coatings are allowed.

* NO electrical, gasoline, benzene, propane or other chemical or electrical propulsion systems are permitted.

* NO surfboard style boat is allowed.
